The Taplist.io dashboard has a brand new look and navigation structure! It's our first major UI refresh in many years.

Here's what's new:

• Jump to anything instantly with Omni Search. The new autocomplete bar at the top of the dashboard lets you quickly jump to any active menu item, or to any standard section of the dashboard. It's great for when you need to make a change, fast!

• New navigation structure and sidebar. We've grouped location-specific things together under Location and added convenient navigation to Account-specific features like integrations.

• Larger, more responsive layout. The dashboard will make more efficient use of large screen sizes, and better adapt to mobile devices too.
• Dark mode support. Press the sun (or moon) icon in the top navigation to flick the lights on or off.

We know you probably have developed muscle memory for the old dashboard, so we've tried to minimize any disruptive changes.

We just launched a big refresh to our QR Code Builder! Here's what's new:

• New print & download options: You can now easily download print codes as a PDF, with optional ability to add text and a spiffy border. Choose from 1 code per page all the way up to 12.
• Deep link to a menu or section: If you're using our new web theme, you can now print codes that deep link to a menu or menu section. This is great for situations when you want a code that takes customers directly to your "Specials" section or your "Brunch" menu, for example.

• Custom QR codes: We know there's more to the web than Taplist. With the Custom QR feature, you can create a code for an arbitrary web page, and we'll take care of redirecting your customers. Great for managing all your codes in one place.
• Statistics and insights: How often are customers scanning your codes? We've got you covered! See scan counts for any QR code, right there in the Super QR dashboard.

Have you ever wanted your TVs to automatically switch to a different menu at a certain time of day? Or have you ever wanted to promote your upcoming karaoke night, but only during off-peak hours?

Great news: The most innovative TV menu system in the world just got better, with the launch of scheduled menu items.

How It Works

When you manage your TV in the Display editor, you'll see a column called "Playlist". Most TVs have just one playlist item, but you can add more at any time: either additional menus, or full-screen image ads (like the "Happy Hour" advertisement above).

Press the clock icon on any playlist item to open the schedule editor. Once you set a schedule on a playlist item, that item will only show on your TVs during the hours you specify.

Availability

Scheduled menu items are available now, at no additional charge, on all current Pro plan accounts. If you are on a basic or legacy pro subscription, upgrade to instantly activate this feature.

You asked for it, you got it: We are now integrated with a huge, high quality public beer & beverage database for autocomplete.

Now when adding a beverage, you'll see autocompletions from your private database as usual, plus any matches from our public database. You can use this to pull in new beverages faster than typing them up yourself.

When you select a beverage from the public database, it'll get copied into your private database for any local edits—giving you the flexibility the change descriptions, metadata, or anything else.

Your private database entries always take precedence, meaning you'll always see those matches first, before any public database entries.

We've improved the Menu Editor

We've made a host of small usability improvements to our menu editor. Check it out!

• Quick section jumper: You'll now see a drop-down menu where you can easily jump to a specific section. You can also add and rearrange sections through this control.
• Consolidated settings: We know, there were a lot of buttons! We've moved some of the less frequently used buttons—like delete menu and delete section—into these settings buttons.
• More mobile friendly: Things can get crowded on mobile pretty easily, so we've improved the mobile layout. When you editor your menu on a phone, you'll see less clutter.

Last but not least...

Print Menus have moved!

Our Print Menu Editor lets you customize any menu and download it as a PDF, great for printing.

Previously, you'd find this editor in the global left navigation. However this was a little clunky as you'd still have to pick the menu you want to edit.

Now you can find the Print Menu Editor on each and every menu—just click the big Print button and you'll see an option to create a new printable edition, along with any others you've previously created, for that menu.

• Section descriptions: You can set and show descriptions for any menu section.

How do I try it?

Visit the Web Page section of the dashboard and look for the "Switch now" button. Don't worry, you can switch back later if you prefer your old theme.
